Betterwater Megapod
A soft water subscription
for your entire building.
One system, quietly delivering soft water to every home in your building — no salt to top up, no maintenance to schedule, and nothing for you to ever think about again.
What your Megapod delivers
How much soft water it produces, and how easily it connects to your building's existing pipes.
The essentials
How much water can one Megapod deliver?
How it fits into your building
Each Megapod sits on a simple frame called a skid. As your building grows, we simply add more — no redesign needed.
Cleaning the water, before it's softened
Before your water is softened, it passes through two simple filters that catch dirt and grit along the way.
First filter — catches the coarse stuff
- Removes sand, rust, and other coarse particles from your water
- Washable and reusable — it's never thrown away
- Keeps the next filter and the softening pod working smoothly
Second filter — catches the fine stuff
- Catches the finer particles the first filter lets through
- A simple cartridge we swap out on a routine visit (~monthly)
- Makes sure only clean water reaches the softening pod
How your Megapod actually softens water
Here's exactly what happens inside the pod — no salt to add, no drains, no electricity.
What actually happens
As water flows through, the minerals that make it "hard" — calcium and magnesium — get trapped inside the pod. In their place, a tiny, safe amount of sodium is released into the water. That trade is what makes your water soft.
Water you can't tell apart, except it's better
Every drop that leaves the pod is soft and clean — under 60 mg/L hardness, filtered to 30 microns. You won't notice any change in your taps, showers, or water pressure.
Every pod has a shelf life
Each pod can soften a certain amount of water before it's used up — the harder your water, the sooner it needs swapping. That's exactly what the calculator above shows you.
No mess, ever
When a pod is used up, we simply replace it with a fresh one on schedule. There's no salt to top up, no wastewater draining out, and nothing plugged into your electricity.
How a pod swap works
When a pod reaches its limit, our team swaps it for a freshly charged one — quietly, and without interrupting your water supply.
We're already watching
Every Megapod is checked weekly, so we know a pod is nearing its limit well before it could affect your water.
A quick, quiet swap
Our technician slides out the used pod and slots in a freshly charged one. No pipework is touched, and nothing needs to be shut off.
Taken away, not wasted
The used pod is recharged off-site and put back into circulation, so nothing ends up in a landfill.
Absolutely nothing
Swaps are scheduled and managed for you. You won't need to call us, track anything, or even be home.
